i could. i fixed it. it worked. i tested it with an edj file i crated for xterm
that blinked the cursor. i'm now sitting here with every xterm icon blinking
its cursor  in 2 ibars, in the titlebar of every xterm as WELL as in the icon
properties dialog i brought up from the xterm icon in ibar. actuallly i spotted
it doesnt work in the system apps menu (fixed now) - but every other instance
works. all my icons now blink.

easy for me. my ability to ignore things is quite good :) (but its just the $
cursor in my xterm icon so its barely noticable :))

I'm sure that its something on my end. I've tried several icons from
exchange.enlightenment.org with the same results. I have also removed the
.e directory to make certain I have the freshest configs. If you could point
me in the direction of a working animated icon, to verify, I think this
problem could be laid to rest.

1. i created a .edj file of my own that is animated (i dont think there is any
point to me describing this as its generic in creating any edje files).
2. i edited the .desktop file myself to change it from xterm.png to xterm.edj
as the icon and presto - it worked.

Okay, So the issue was never with the code dealing with the icons but rather
the "Desktop Entry Editor" not setting the edj file correctly.  Seems to be
fixed in 56061. Thanks for sorting out the problem.
