Am using oprofile on arm926 based embedded platform. My toolchain is built with buildroot which has uclibc-0.9.28.3 and gcc 3.4.6.
The uclibc doesnt have "atexit" in the one i have built however i see that recompilation of uclibc is causing lots of problems. Hence i tried removing the atexit call from the oprofile code.
Does this create problems ? if it is loss of memory i.e memory is not freed then its ok for me. what other effects does it have ?
What i see is that when i run opreport i see a segmentation fault :
./opreport --symbols -l /root/app
CPU: CPU with timer interrupt, speed 0 MHz (estimated)
Profiling through timer interrupt
Has anybody seen this kind of problem ? has it got anything to do with the set speed of the processor cause it shows 0 OR is it something to do with the atexit removal ?
I saw a thread which did rounds a year back with the same problem but no solution ended up in the thread.
Any kind of help is very much appreciated.
Thanks and regards
