so i assume you are using gcc3. gnustep-make and gnustep-base work with
gcc2 but gnustep-gui fails, with gcc3 i had the same problem as you
describe now and didn't investigate much further.
note: when i last checked it about a month ago there was a more recent
description at http://www.made-it.com (i think) wich suggested to build the
whole gcc compiler new (with some different flags). dind't do that
though and kinda forgot about it in the month or so.
