Hi Dave,
Thanks for the image. It was very helpful. I don't think there is
anything wrong with the either of the devices. I was able to program the
robostix with AVRstudio, upload simple-flasher.hex and get the lights going.
But I really would like to do things in linux. Does AVR ISP mkii
programmer need a driver to work in linux?
