I'm am trying to profile a program I wrote to send data over Unix Domain/TCP sockets, but when I use a machine with an Intel Pentium 4 processor using the GLOBAL_POWER_EVENTS I cannot get any results. I get "error: no sample files found: profile specification too strict?"
When I tried the same thing on an AMD machine which has CPU_CLK_UNHALTED as the default event, it records some samples. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it to work on the Intel machine.
Thanks for your help,
