I know what's happening. It was actually clear from your previous email,
but I didn't look closely enough. There're several flavors of the
libwx...-dev packages in Debian. You only have 'libwxbase2.8-dev'
installed, with has only the non-ui stuff in it, hence you're seeing
problems. Install 'libwxgtk2.8-dev' as well, and your issues should go
away. Let me know if something is still broken.
There IS a bug in gnuplot here, since ./configure shouldn't have
succeeded in this case. I'll look at fixing it.
