There still seems to be some activity, but at a glance I can't tell if
there's progress. Is this the patch you want applied or is there another
one still in the oven? (I don't mind doing multiples if it helps parties

I'm kind of wishy-washy on it and it does come up trom time to time on these
logger classes of receivers. If it's something like the Magellan "erase
all" which is basically one suboption and like three lines of extra code, I
won't fuss much about it. If it's a standalone GUI thing with 8,000 knobs,
it's probably a bad fit for our cross-platform/every GPS known to man goals.
