Might be, at least functionally. Ethan started with 'top' as a
framework, then added code from the 'kernprof' command. 'kptop' gives
you per-interval or cumulative percentages of time spent in the various
kernel routines, displayed periodically like 'top' would display
processes. I've found it to be very interesting and informative to
watch how kernel behavior changes over time, as the vm system and
filesystem move pages around.
