Thank you, thank you, thank you. Yes, your second suggestion was an idea of mine too. There has been talk weather to use a person or family filter to choose the starting person/family. I still have not had enough to go away from choosing a person first.
But either way, why not break the report into two separate reports? One for the standard personal descendant report and then another for a family descendant report.
But I don't know if I (IMHO) would like to see 'Personal Descendant Tree...' and 'Family Descendant Tree...' as report options. They are just too long.... But maybe not.
