I have just (for the first time in several months) downloaded the
latest "freeglut" source from the CVS repository (one file at a time, by
hand--it's pretty painful) and I find that I have duplicated your dialbox
support. In addition, I have added support for a spaceball and tablet; on
the other hand, you seem to have added some dialbox frills that I do not
have. I would like to take the best of both of our codes for "freeglut".
To that end, I'd like to ask what sort of dialbox you are using and I'd also
like to coordinate with Steve Lane (whose dialbox I was supporting in my
coding efforts) to see if we are talking about the same thing.
I note with some dismay that you use a timer and a serial port in
support of the dialbox. My support is event-driven and uses a device name
of "dial+buttons". Evidently you support both Windows and *nix while I
support only *nix. Do we have common ground or am I whistling in the wind?
