[Notepad-plus-plus] [notepad-plus - Help] { in the "right" place?

Hello,

I noticed with notepad++ that notepad++ controls where the "{" and "}"
are placed.
If I type:
if($a == $b)
	{
	$c = $d/2;
then notepad++ turns it into:
if($a == $b)
{
	$c = $d/2;
I don't like this very much
Is there a way to turn it off?

I see the "	"(tabs) are deleted, if you look in the source you'll know what
I mean...

I want the { to be more to the right, with a tab between it, but notepad++ puts
it back to the left

If you mean:

if ()
___{
______bla();
___}

its not supported. You can disable the indent via plugins->NppAutoIndent if
you wish, or change how it works, but the style I just mentioned isnt there,
and probably isnt going to be there.

You can manually add the tab after entering the { and pressing enter, int this
case only { and enter trigger the indenting.

Thanks, that was what I was searching for
I couldn't come up the word "indent", sorry for that

I meant actually this:
if () 
___{ 
___bla(); 
___} 
but auto indent for that isn't needed for me, I want to type it myself

Try plugins->NppAutoIndent->Block Indent, or Previous Line.  Both of them allow
that.  The difference being that Block Indent ignores lines with only white-space
in determining the previous indentation for alignment, while Previous Line uses
the previous line, even if it is only whitespace.
