[Jts-topo-suite-user] Using STRtree with userData: is it possible to retrieve the user data from the tree?

Hello,

I am trying to find the nearest line (and its nearest point) from a certain point.
I am using the STRtree: I've inserted a set of LineString objects.
Before doing that, I have added UserData to the LineString objects.
However, it seems that it is not possible to retrieve  these userData anymore from the SpatialIndex.
Am I correct?
If so, would there be a work around?

It works for me - can you create a test case or provide sample code that shows 
the issue? I add the envelope and the correspoding object to the tree.
