every time I use Gramps in Windows, it does not display the marriage
symbol ⚭ (U+26AD), but instead only a placeholder. I think this is
because the sans-serif font reverts back to Arial, which has not a large
glyph coverage (Arial Unicode MS would be a *much* better choice). Well,
because GTK is not really the graphical masterpiece, it seems unable to
look in other fonts and just displays a placeholder.
Well, is there any way to change this behaviour? Can I set the
sans-serif or the serif fonts to revert back to other fonts? Or is there
any other way to make the font selection more flexible?
Or does anybody know a geneaology program with a more appealing
interface (preferably without GTK)? :D
