Subject: Problems with smartctl, FreeBSD, and LSI RAID controller
Odd situation here, smartctl 5.39 working well but we upgraded to 6.0
to get SSD support. Now, on occaision, smartctl will 'break' a three drive
RAID array causing two of the drives to end up in 'Unconfigured BAD' state.
I plan on working through the code to figure out which IOCTL or similar
is causing the issue. Are there any tips/shortcuts/hints for debugging this
sort of thing?
