I had previously been looking into which libraries opennms uses that
could be updated, and had noted that twitter4j 2.1+ required code
changes. (More than just a simple tweak). When building from source,
maven should be using the opennms maven repositories to download its
dependencies rather than maven central or other repositories.
I've created a jira issue (NMS-5691) for tracking purposes to get OAuth
support into the microblog notification feature.
