The "File/Save Project" menu pops up a browser only the first time you save
; if a project has been already saved or loaded the "File/Save Project"
menu directly save to the current project filename without possibility to
specify another filename...
"File/Save Project as" always pops up the browser.
Note that concerning the third change I proposed (use only basename as
layer name by default) finally I'll not make it because it isn't useful for
