The MiddleKit User's Guide says:
Date and time types
Woops. Not documented yet. Not implemented for that matter, either.
That is incorrect. You can use mxDateTime objects. In fact, that's what
you'll get back when you do fetches (if mxDateTime is present). The types
in your MK object model will be date, time and datetime.
If you don't have mxDateTime, you can use strings like '2000-02-26'. You
just won't be able to do easy date arithmetic and inspection. Perhaps in
that case, MiddleKit should convert to timestamps (like what time.time()
I found out about this because Tom mentioned he really needed dates to get
his work done. If you find other things you need, please tell me about
them. In some cases, it will be undocumented. In others, I'll just have to
implement it. :-)
