Thanks! Got it. Had some difficulty building it since I'm on an AIX
host. Needed to get getopt.c, getopt1.c, and getopt.h from somewhere
else. Fortunately, IBM is now distributing Linux freeware for
AIX. Imagine that.
ppdfilt looks like the holy grail I've been looking for ever since I read
the Adobe PPD spec several years ago. LPRng's ifhp doesn't really do the
"print manager" function properly.
Unfortunately, the current incarnation of ppdfilt doesn't seem to do what I
would expect it to do. Output is the same, regardless of specifying "-D"
(or other options) or not. (BTW, "-D" seems to require an argument, which
doesn't match the documentation.)
Am I doing something wrong, or is ppdfilt not working yet.
