If you have cygwin installed you can install screen or ckermit with a
bit of fiddling
You can get a version of hypterminal that works with windows 7
(good if your stuck in a corporate environment where you have to get an
admin to install things)
Yes its fairly crap but it works.
Also make sure to get a copy of winscp if you need to copy files to
or from the gumstix over ethernet
