I'm researching the options for including Saxon HE (unmodified
executable) with a free open-source software product that we distribute.
Currently, the product uses MSXML (and is therefore limited to XSLT
1.0!) because MSXML is known to be freely redistributable.
I'm advocating that we use Saxon HE, so that we can take advantage of
XSLT 2.0 and save ourselves a lot of time.
So I'm looking at licensing terms for Saxon, specifically
Most of these seem to apply to modifications of the source code.
It looks like we can distribute unmodified Saxon HE in executable form
as long as we include the appropriate notices with it.
Can someone confirm this?
Are there any examples of FOSS out there that include Saxon as part of
the distributed package?
