Lack of response here tells me that know one knows.  In theory, it 
should work but that depends on the ABI.

Hi,

I'm not very sure about that but I think you cannot compile an ATL
project with GCC since there is no ATL headers and library archives in
the current release. Headers and archives for use with GCC must be
*prepared* for that. You cannot use the standard Windows headers with
GCC. They simply will not work.

Has something changed?  AFAIK you are able to download the MS SDK and 
use it with GCC.  The caveat to that is you can use C++ ABI but C is 
capable.
