Exactly right. I still want the keyboard to function as a keyboard,
but I want special key presses (maybe F1, F2, and F3, or maybe the
Windows key and that weird menu key, or maybe combination key presses)
to turn my TV on/off and my stereo receiver's volume up/down via an IR
blaster. Can lirc make that happen?
