Dear Kile team,
I am a satisfied kile user, and I would like to add one item to the
wishlist.
When opening kile, the "Open Project" windows saying "scanning projects
files" requires some time to load completely (increasing almost linearly
with the number of open projects). On my multi-core system, I can see
that only one core is used for this task. It seems to me that this task
can be easily parallelized (at least in principle), by letting each
loaded project be served by one dedicated thread. Do you think this
improvement is feasable? I think it would be really worth doing it,
because it could significantly decrease the loading time of kile,
considering that parallel architectures seems to become widely used, so
that this feature can be appreciated by users.
Thanks for your great work.
Cheers,
Alfredo
