hello,
i've finally managed to get a box working with my tt s2-3200 card so i'm
starting to investigate kaffeine & multiproto
That card seems to work fine with the latest multiproto, i managed to
get anixehd on astra 19.2
If i'm correct kaffeine uses libdvbapi to access frontends, i was
wondering if any of you know if there's already been an attempt to patch
libdvbapi for multiproto.
i'll probably also ask the question on linuxtv dvb mailing list.
Let me know if you have any comments on the subject and maybe how
extensive the patch could grow besides getting the tunning to work, what
about scanning channels and so on..
On another topic i tried to play some of that 1080i h264 HD stream i
dumped from Astra and got a really weird result when playing it in
kaffeine, although the stream is playing just fine with mplayer.
Basically the lower lines of the picture had a lot of digital artifacts,
like the mpeg stream was "broken", it did output some errors but i
didn't write them down, i'll do it again and keep that somewhere.
But well will i also have to face some xine/ffh264 troubles with those
1080i streams, coz i'm not sure i'll be able to go that far to get HD
sat working in Kaffeine.. It may come from my setup but i think i did
build the latest libxine-1.2 with external ffmpeg svn, just the same way
i build my current mplayer version..
thx,
Marc
