well, it is no less appropriate than clisp-list :-)
my idea was, however, that clisp-announce should reach more people:
Cross-posting in the CLISP mailing lists is very actively discouraged
and is virtually non-existent, thus you can subscribe to all mailing
lists that are relevant to you without getting duplicate messages:
~ extremely low-level moderated list, you should definitely subscribe
to this list if you have any interest in Common Lisp and CLISP whatsoever
~ subscribe to this list of you use CLISP and want to ask (and
~ subscribe to this list if you want to help with CLISP developments;
CVS commit notes go here (as a daily digest).
so I thought that the list subscriptions should be nested (i.e.,
everyone who subscribes to clisp-devel, also subscribes to clisp-list,
and anyone who subscribes to clisp-list, also subscribes to
clisp-announce). looking at the subscription numbers, this does not
appear to be the case, so I am no longer sure if my suggestion that your
mail should have been sent to clisp-announce was right.
