The QT 6 is just there for compatibility with some sites (it actually
means nothing). Give me an example of the site you are having issues
with and I'll see if that is the reason why it doesn't work.

Ok this site has multiple problems but let me tell you how far I got..

1st. I added 7 to the QT plugin decription so that passed the first test
and the video started to load

2nd. The playlist file they send looks like this
RTSPtestRTSP://video.zambooie.com/showdown/IscariotMV.mov

So I had to make some changes to the RTSP parser, cause the is a screwy
file.

So I got it so that mplayer was passed
RTSP://video.zambooie.com/showdown/IscariotMV.mov

Which mplayer does not like cause the protocol is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
RTSP should never be in CAPS.

Working on the command line I changed it to

mplayer rtsp://video.zambooie.com/showdown/IscariotMV.mov

And mplayer STILL will not play the file... So as far as I am concerned.
 There is no point making anymore changes as the content on the site
doesn't work anyway.

I'll commit what I have to CVS, but it is not going to work and there
seems to be no way to make it work. However, you could submit the
mplayer errors to the mplayer mailing list and see if they will do
anything. I have not had much luck with them so good luck.
