I simply do "modprobe vloopback" (I also did insmod, which leads to the s=
result, all dependencies being already loaded anyway).
And yes, I mean resize and invert in the example directory that comes wit=

(At the end of this mail I will show the relevant lines of camsource.conf=
I load vloopback as root, then I switch to the normal user (otherwise I c=
I type camsource from the command line, I open camstream, and I choose "v=
loopback 0 output" as device in camstream control window.

I suppose you mean the messages in dmesg? I should have checked this befo=
As far as reverse and invert are concerned, no. I simply get
pathomitted/vloopback.c: Video4linux loopback driver v0.97-snap1
pathomitted/vloopback.c: Loopback 0 registered, input: video1,output: vid=
Now, when I use camsource, I get in the console :
[Dec 15 2005 15:17:32 / vloopback] loopback /dev/video1 320x240 format=3D=
(and no message in dmesg at this point)
When I open camstream, I start getting messages in dmesg
pathomitted/vloopback.c: Too much data! Only 307200 bytes used.
Here are relevant parts of camsource.conf :
In the input section, I have :
And in vloopback section, I have :
<module name=3D"vloopback" active=3D"yes">
This module is able to act as an input channel
for the kernel video loopback device driver,
available from <http://tibit.org/video/>. This
lets you run camsource on your "real" video devic=
and at the same time other v4l programs on the
looped back device.
