Hello there. What are some popular or recommended ways to create a
standard site look and feel (possibly including menus, sidebars, login
widgets, etc.) in such a way that you don't have to include or
[[.include]] the code for it in each spyce file?
I've previously used Webware with PSP, and what I did there was write
a base servlet class that called a writeContent() method for
page-specific content. In PSP, your PSP file is lazily compiled into
a servlet class (like with spyce -c); you can specify via directives
at the top what the base class should be and which method your PSP
file is declaring.
Spyce doesn't seem to use this exact paradigm; the .spy file seems to
always generate a spyceProcess() function, and it doesn't seem to be
in a class, so the whole polymorphism approach to a site look and feel
probably isn't the right way to do it.
