Hi,
I am using nms guestbook, and having a problem with 'Permission' as I read this post by Jonathan:
It is the permissions of the 'guestbook' directory here that are the
problem - it is possible that the 'Child nodes inherit parent
permissions' flag is not set on the parent directory so when you
created
the directory it is given some fairly restrictive permissions that do
not allow the user that the CGI program runs as to create new files in
that directory. If you can manipulate the NTFS permissions from your
FTP client then you should pursue that route otherwise I am afraid you
are going to have to solicit the help of the ISP.
I checked the folder and it says:
Current Permissions : Regular (755)
So I moved both guestbook.html and guestlog.html in cgi-bin long with guestbook.pl and change the paths respectively, still the same Error message.
I really want to get this to work as I have 7 other sites I would like to implement this program along with your nms forum and nms simple search.
I did join your Nms-cgi-support. Was confused at first as thought the email was misdirected or I had to answer to this, but then I realized I could read your forum posts with going there.
That is very cool!
So anyway here's a few of error massage I have gotten:
=====================================================
Application Error
An error has occurred in the program
open /home/shb8_347/dragonbody.com/public_html/guestbook/guestbook.html.lck: Permission denied at /home/shb8_347/dragonbody.com/cgi-bin/gsbk/guestbook.pl line 772.
=======================================================
Application Error
An error has occurred in the program
open http://dragonbody.com/guestbook/guestbook.html.lck: No such file or directory at /home/shb8_347/dragonbody.com/cgi-bin/gsbk/guestbook.pl line 772.
============================================================
Application Error
An error has occurred in the program
Can't find string terminator "EOCOMMENT" anywhere before EOF at /home/shb8_347/dragonbody.com/cgi-bin/gsbk/guestbook.pl

And the $style =, I made it the same path as $guestbookreal and $guestlog and took out the /ccs/ , or should I create a folder just for style sheets code?
Finaly my host is a UNIX server and I love your programs, now when I get them to work I will be one happy guy.
Thanks,
JÚLÃN
