I recently received this bug report:

I'm currently looking into fixing it properly, but I thought this
additional check might be a good thing to add to the database build
routine. It effectively ensure that if a file is a link, that it points
to a readable file before it adds it to the search list. I've tested it
and it works well. Soliciting for comments. Thanks!
