I have a large number of objects that all have a dissemination bound
using the same BDef/BMech pair. I would like to retro-actively add a
new method to the dissemination. BDefs and BMechs, though, are pretty
static once they have been ingested.
So does anybody have any clever ideas on how to make this happen? The
only thing I can think of is to write some scripts that:
1) Delete all disseminations bound to the BMech.
2) Delete the BMech.
3) Delete the BDef.
4) Re-create the BDef with the new method.
5) Re-create the BMech with the new method.
6) Re-bind the disseminations to all my objects.
This would be a big pain, though, and it gets even more messy as you add
additional BMechs implementing the same BDef. Does anybody have any
slick tricks to make this easier? Are there any plans by the
development team to support this capability in a more integrated way?
