[Gumstix-users] Gumstix OpenEmbedded out of date

I have noticed that the openembedded package repository included with the gumstix subversion repository is quite out of date when compared to the core OE repository.  In my case it is missing a few newer packages (eg python 2.6) which I absolutely require.  The board I am using is Verdex Pro.  What is the best way to deal with this?
