I guess this has more generally to do with starting any linux process on a
chosen cpu in a smp system, anyway: how can I make sure the uml I start runs
on a determined cpu? If there is no simple way, I may probably set on doing
something (admittedly contorted) like the following:
- start a cpu-intensive interruptable process. Kill it and start it again
till it starts on the cpu the uml is not supposed to start on.
- Start uml. It hopefully starts on the free cpu. Otherwise, shut it down
and start it again till it does.
- Kill the cpu-intensive process.
This is not that elegant and I would try to avoid it. Any suggestion ?
