[Webware 0.8 on SuSE-Linux-8.1, Python 2.2.1]
thanks for the Autoreload feature, wich will save me loads of keystrokes. There
are two issues that remain, however:
- The AppServer exits promptly when a monitored file changes, but does not
re-start. I'm using the shrinkwrapped "webkit" shell script to start, which in
turn uses Launch.py. Neither "ThreadedAppServer" nor "NewThreadedAppServer"
actually do restart. They simply disappear. Actually I found no script that
would check the exit code ("3" for "please restart") and do something.
- I'm using FAM for monitoring file changes. From the insertion of some print
statements I assume that FAM has to be fed absolute filenames for monitoring,
which is not the case for the internal Webware files:
Monitoring MiddleKit/Core/DateTimeAttr.py failed: _fam: unable to monitor file
Monitoring MiddleKit/Core/DateAttr.py failed: _fam: unable to monitor file
Now monitoring: /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/MySQLdb/cursors.py
Now monitoring: /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/MySQLdb/connections.py
Now monitoring: /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/MySQLdb/constants/CLIENT.py
Thanks for your attention,
