I noticed this in Jeff's diary today:
"The second minor thing I am planning is some way of filling in the
start and end addresses of the command line and environment of new
address spaces. Those values would be the same as the UML values. This
would have the nice effect of making ps on the host show the same
process name for the UML userspace process as ps inside UML. So, that
one host process would change its name according to what is currently
running inside UML."
I'm not sure about anyone else, but this would be nice as a run-time
option to decide how our userspace process should be named. I guess it
could either be the current running process within UML, the umid of the
UML, or just the name of linux binary.
Of course, anything is better than the nonsense the processes are
currently named with skas :-)
