I just started 20 UMLs on a box, and they all got 'stuck' fscking the
root filesystem. I had to screen into each one and whack return until
they did something.
Pinging is a great way to do it if the networking is up, but is there a
nice way to do it without networking? I'm not quite sure which process
needs the 'signal' (I'm guessing the main tracing thread), so I don't
want to just jump in and use kill on processes just for the fun of it.
