Could someone help me with this please..
(Hmm, just thought, email clients might try to render this?!!)
<form action="jobconstructor.php" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="action" value="part2">
<input type="hidden" name="objectType" value="SAO">
Enter an SAO catalogue number and click "Save":<br>
<input type="text" name="objectID"><br><br>
<input type="submit" name="submittype" value="Save">
<input type="submit" name="submittype" value="Cancel">
Anyway, the cursor is in the text box, I have typed in a number, and
I click save.
Var_dump is as follows, and is as expected:
However, if I press enter instead of clicking save, var_dump is as
submittype is missing. As I see it, one of the two buttons has to be
pressed for the form to be submitted, yet neither button has entered
it's value into the form post data, which causes the receiving script
not to behave properly.
When the cursor is in the box and I am typing in the number, the
"Save" button has that extra thick black line around it which means
that is the default button. Not that it seems to be using it.
Also, I have a similar page that has the same kind of form on it,
which works. There are many more form elements on that one, but the
last one is a text box and there are the same two buttons.
Actually I just looked into why this page works before sending this
mail. It seems this page works because there are two text boxes on
it. If I take one text box off that page it also doesn't work. Ow. My
Help, it doesn't work an' I don't know why...
