functionality we need. We have considered other options, especially IMP
(did not handle folders the way we wanted) and TWIG (the developers were
too difficult to cooperate with), but found that they did not suit our

Functionality that is important to us (ie our customer) is:
- Good attachment support - there are some printshops that are going to
use this system, they like attachments running into tens of
- Internationalisation (i18n) - since we are in Norway.
- LDAP support - for obvious reasons.
- Modularized authentication - to be able to provide a single login for
mail and other applications like calendar and helpdesk systems.
Before do any serious development we would like to know how you feel
including enhancements from others into the main development tree and
your plans sith SquirrelMail are in the future.
I hope we can be able to help develop SquirrelMail into good mailsystem.
