In fact it works as expected.
The "problem" about this SPICE netlist is just that there is a sub-circuit
definition only. It appears to do nothing in Qucs because it misses
an instantiation of the sub-circuit defined, i.e. it misses an appropriate
"X"-line which instantiates the "triac" sub-circuit.
X1 MT2 G MT1 triac
line between .ENDS and .END ...
