I think I sent this message to the wrong address,
so I'm sending it again--my apologies if this
shows up twice.
GPSBabel Version : 1.3.5-beta20080217
Computer: 2 GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook Pro
Memory: 2 GB
OS: Mac OS 10.5.2
Issue #1: I can rarely get the program to open.
I usually get the following error: "An exception
of class NilObjectException was not handled. The
application must shut down."
Issue #2: On the rare occasions that the program
does open correctly, the following input fields
have Chinese (I think) characters in them (Use
File, Filters, File-Based Filters, and GPSBabel
Executable Location [under Preferences]). When I
try to select something new (like a file, for
example) it shows up in the field written in the
same Chinese character, so I'm not sure if I've
chosen the correct file.
Any thoughts as to what might be going wrong? Do
I need to install this program in a very specific
way to work?
Thanks,
Shane
P.S. Sorry if this has already been covered in
the Archives. I did check them, but didn't find
these two issues specific issues discussed.
