Hi Dave,
no of course not! You let QLGT do the work. First you have to create a
map collection for your file (F1->F6). Even if it is only a single on.
By that you map will appear in the left hand list.
Next you select an area to export (F1->F5). Simply point-left click-move
the mouse. This will create an entry in the left hand list "Selcted
Maps". Select the entry->Export Map. Now you can export the area as
Garmin Custom Map.
You can select/deselect single tiles when you click on them. Thus your
area to export mustn't be rectangular.
