Last night I couldn't get to oe.org for a while... But it resumed after 
a bit, so it's all good now.

something changed, was intermittent last week,
can't get there at all last 24
on a slow dialup. other sites same as usual.

Just got an email from Gregory about it as well. It's down. I am not sure what to do, I know CK admins the host for us.

Burst.NET is up, so if CK can be reached, then maybe we can get to the
bottom of this.

If not, we might need someone else to get a new host and restore from
backup. :(

They said there were 52 processes accessing SMTP.

I said I didn't think we used SMTP much or at all.

I'm working with their support to get the site turned back on.

Actually, I remember way way back that Chris B. had a special Tip Of The
Week email address on openeuphoria.org but it stopped working due to the
high level of spam being sent to that address.

His gmail filtered out the spam but it's possible that some spammer is
mailbombing the address, which would explain the high usage level.

We dont' really use SMTP on that box for much else besides mail aliases,
so I'd recommend that we turn SMTP off as soon as the box is back up.

Ok, if I'm reading the headers correctly, bigpond's SMTP service 
(61.9.189.143) is a known spammer according to SpamHaus.
