I experienced a corruption of the mousewheel_bindings in e.cfg that caused a
few lockups until the default binding were restored. However I believe there
are some problems with the default mousewheel_binding to beging with.
For starters, when I checked the binding initially, I have 3 identical
mousewheel+Alt+Up entries and 3 identical mousewheel+Alt+Down entries. See:
When the binding got corrupt, the desktop would lock-up. The mouse would
still move, but no mouse or keyboard entries were recognized (not
ctrl+alt+inst, ctrl+alt+del, ctrl+alt+F1, etc..) The box was still running
fine otherwise as I could ssh into the box and kill X.
I dumped my e.cfg with eet and a bzip2 of the e.cfg file is here:
A dump of the mousewheel_bindings alone (with grep -A9) are here:
The recovery of the default bindings worked fine, but the default bindings
included duplicate identical mousewheel+Alt+Up/Down entries. Something tells
me -- "that's not supposed to be like that!" Dunno, could be right?
Let me know if you need/want anything else.
