Evelyn is a part of the optimizer that simplifies branches. You will
typically see the message when there is unreachable code (something like
if(0) foo(); else bar();).
There was a time when this message was dreaded (see bug report #1875933,
"Evelyn jumps into the void"), but today it is as harmless as messages
about unreachable code.
