First, it seems that configure.ac (even if its name changed and
is no longer configure.in), is old fashion written by ede ! In
particular the combination AC_INIT + AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE. Indeed
if we run autoupdate on this configure.ac, the result looks a
little bit different. You might say then simply do that ! Sure
but moreover, for instance the field "bug report" is not yet
defined by the current ede implementation even if its surely
very easy for ede to guess such a feild. Should we/I fix that
to make it more compliant to recent auto-conf/make / anything
It seems that AC_OUTPUT should be written in a slightly
different manner as well. Sure I can fix both !
Well now I wonder if its possible to force ede to put something
else between AC_INIT and AC_OUTPUT ? Indeed I'd like certain m4
macros to be executed here but don't find how to tell ede to
put them in the configure.ac file. It looks like the only
object that is able to produce such output in configure.ac are
compilers. In the same topic, is it possible to customize
somewhere the list of files that are handled by AC_OUTPUT ?
The require above feature might simply not belong to the
philosophy of the current project class implementation and
you'll simply telll me : implement a suitable subclass for your
needs ! OK if so I'll do it.
