Hello Kile users!
To make it short, we need your help.
And the best is, you don't need to know anything about programming :)
As you probably know kile has built-in support for codecompletion of (some)
LaTeX commands. Due to the nature of LaTeX, commands can be quite strange
looking and so we had no other choice than to write lists of commands.
These lists, named as cwl files, can be loaded at runtime to greatly enhance
your LaTeX-writing-experience.
The main problem is that, it is a lot of work to write these lists and
therefore you mainly see the cwl files of the developers' pet packages.
And this is the point where you can help:
- Send us your self written cwl file for your (pet) package or class
- If you have spottend any error in the existing files, send them
- Or any additions, send them also
A small description how these cwl files should look is located here
http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/extragear/office/kile/README.cwl?revision=HEAD .
Contact as either via kile-devel@... or open a bug on
bugs.kde.org against kile including [CWL] in the subject line.
Currently we have 55 cwl files in the development version of kile.
The target number for the next release is 75, so please show as that we
underestimated our user base :)
Thanks,
Thomas Braun on behalf of the kile development team
