1): Click in the main menu: Settings -> Midi Ports/Soft Synth
2): For each valid device listed in 'Midi connections',
you *MUST* choose the desired 'Instrument'.
Usually you DON'T WANT 'generic midi'.
You usually want 'GM' (short for General MIDI) - most
midi instruments are *at least* GM.
You probably have your devices on 'generic midi', right?
Change them. The controller graphs don't display *recorded* events
properly with 'generic midi' - but they WILL display manually drawn events.
Your recorded controller graphs *should* return to proper size.
Tested and verified here.
Once you choose the right instrument, you will find on the controller graph
clicking 'Sel -> add new ...' will fill up with all the standard 'GM'
controller types. Also the Track Info's 'Channel Info'
'instrument list' will fill up with all General MIDI instruments.
If you have no output devices at all, or the particular
MIDI track's 'O-Port' says 'none', try selecting 'GM'
from the 'Type' drop-down list (just below the main menu + toolbar).
Also be aware that changing a midi track's channel number
('Ch' in the arranger) or 'O-port' might make existing controller graphs
not show up in the 'Sel' list. Don't worry.
Simply click 'Sel -> add new ...' to re-add the controller, then your graph
*should* re-appear with your recorded data intact.
Some of it is seemingly odd behaviour, but I found no actual
show-stopping bug(s), so far.
If this doesn't solve your issue, then try another instrument type
which suits your actual hardware better, for example Roland XP-30 .
Please try it and let me know, so I can close any bug reports. Tim.
