well, bastien provided *some* arguments. they were not conclusive, though.
in such cases i challenge the argument - and if it is not supported by
further evidence but just re-iterated, i get grumpy.

qtscript concerns the gui and is a possible solution for a problem that
was explicitly named as being unsolved yet. in fact, this *directly*
concerns your orginal request for comments.
plugins ... well, i elaborated on this one already. and qtcore was just
the next logical step. i still concur that this all isn't major. it
looks so from the outside, but on the inside only very little changes
initially. it only gets interesting once one starts to fully explore the
new possibilites ... :)
