We never got to the bottom of this, and I don't have access to Windows
for several days to test. Can you answer a few questions/run tests?
1. What happens if you start plain gVim and enter
Do you see a font "Fixedsys"?
2. What happens if you enter the following at the command line
in Cream? In Vim?
3. What happens if you select a font (Settings > Preferences >
4. After #3, what results from entering the following at the command
