I am using sqlitebrowser (version 1.2.1) on a Debian Sarge computer. My tables contain usually german umlauts (äöüß), but they are not displayed correctly in sqlitebrowser (same holds true for the sqlite-command line, when started on the terminal program "konsole" of KDE).
However, umlauts are correctly displayed on the sqlite command line when launched in xterm.
It seems that it is a problem with the display of utf-8 encoded data. Is there a way to make also sqlitebrowser display umlauts correctly? Can I "tell" sqlitebrowser what encoding should be used?
I would be most grateful for any comments on this issue.
With best regards
